Connect an AI app to QuickTax
You can connect Claude, ChatGPT, Grok and other AI apps to your QuickTax account through QuickTax MCP. The app can then read your companies’ bookkeeping, send us documents and prepare sales invoices when you ask it to.
Updated: 4 November 2026
How you connect
You connect with a personal link from the QuickTax app. The same link works in Claude (web, desktop and mobile), Claude Code, ChatGPT developer mode, Grok, Cursor and any other app that accepts a remote MCP server address. Signing in to QuickTax straight from the Claude and ChatGPT apps is coming soon.
Before you start:
- You need a QuickTax account with at least one company linked to it. If your account has no company yet, or your company is on another e-mail, see Which companies the AI app sees.
- The AI app works with companies in the UAE. Companies in Saudi Arabia are not served yet.
Get your personal link
- Sign in to the QuickTax app at app.quicktax.ac and open Home.
- Find the block Connect your AI agent to QuickTax via MCP. It lists the companies the link gives access to.
- Press Get my link.
- Press Copy and paste the link into your AI app now (steps below). The link is shown only once. We keep only a fingerprint of it, so a lost link cannot be shown again; you replace it instead.
- Keep the link private. Anyone who has it can read your QuickTax data and act for your companies.
You have one personal link at a time, and you can paste it into several AI apps.
- Replace link gives you a new link and turns the old one off at once. Do this if you think someone else has it, then paste the new link into each of your AI apps.
- Revoke turns the link off at once. Every AI app that uses it loses access.
Claude
This covers claude.ai, Claude Desktop and the Claude mobile app.
- In claude.ai open Customize → Connectors, press + Add and choose Add custom connector. On the Free plan you can add one custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan an owner of your Claude organisation adds custom connectors.
- Enter the name
QuickTaxand paste your personal link as the address. Press Add. - In a new chat, turn QuickTax on in the tools menu of the message box and ask: “Show my companies in QuickTax.”
The connector belongs to your Claude account, so after you add it on claude.ai it also appears in Claude Desktop and the Claude mobile app.
ChatGPT
ChatGPT connects through developer mode. Developer mode is available on some ChatGPT plans only, and a workspace admin may have to allow it.
- In ChatGPT open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Press Create to add a connector. Name:
QuickTax. - MCP server URL: paste your personal link. Authentication: No authentication.
- Confirm that you trust this connector and press Create.
- In a new chat choose developer mode and QuickTax among the tools, and ask: “Show my companies in QuickTax.”
Claude Code
- In a terminal run, with your own link:
claude mcp add --transport http quicktax https://mcp.quicktax.ac/mcp/<your key>
- In a Claude Code session type
/mcpto check that quicktax is connected, then ask: “Show my companies in QuickTax.”
The link is saved in Claude Code’s settings file on your computer, so anyone with access to that file can use it. To remove it, run claude mcp remove quicktax.
Grok
- Open grok.com/connectors, press New Connector and choose Custom.
- Paste your personal link as the server address. QuickTax needs no other sign-in. Save the connector.
- Start a new chat, turn the QuickTax connector on and ask: “Show my companies in QuickTax.”
On Grok Business and Enterprise an administrator adds custom connectors first.
Cursor and other apps
Add a remote MCP server with your personal link as the address, transport Streamable HTTP (sometimes called “HTTP”), without authentication. The app reads the list of QuickTax tools by itself.
If something does not work
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The AI app says the link is not valid, or was revoked or replaced | Get a new link on Home (the message may say “Account settings”; the link is on Home) and paste it into the app again. |
| You lost the link | Press Replace link on Home and paste the new link into your AI apps. |
| Get my link cannot be pressed, and the block says no company is linked | See Which companies the AI app sees. |
| The block says AI agent access is available for client accounts | Reload the page. If it stays, write to us in your QuickTax chat. |
| The app sees no companies, or not the one you need | See Which companies the AI app sees. |
| Opening the link in a browser shows a short technical message | That is expected. The link is for your AI app, not for a browser. |
What the AI app can do
Ask your AI app in plain words. It decides which QuickTax data to look up, and it works only with the companies linked to your QuickTax account.
What it can look up
- Company profile: legal name, trade licence, VAT and Corporate Tax registration, financial year end.
- Bookkeeping by month and your tax declarations with their deadlines and stages.
- What QuickTax still needs from you for a month: missing documents, reports and explanations.
- Documents you uploaded (invoices, receipts, other documents) and bank statements, with their processing status.
- Figures from your accountant’s books: profit and loss for a month or a period, totals per account, payments to and from one supplier or customer. Only a month in the closed stage is final; the app says when a month is still in progress.
- How a receipt or payment is accounted for, with the tax rule and its source. Your accountant makes the final call.
- Tax rules signed by QuickTax, and answers from public FTA documents and our guides to the QuickTax app. These are general guidance, with sources.
- Your sales invoices, customers, catalog items and the bank accounts printed on your invoices.
- Suppliers you buy from, taken from your uploaded bills.
- QuickTax’s invoices to you, with a link to each PDF. The app does not take payments.
- Links to the right page of the QuickTax app.
What it can do for you
- Send us documents: invoices, receipts, bank statements and other documents, as a file or a download link. They go through the same processing as an upload in the QuickTax app. See Send documents to QuickTax.
- Sales invoices: create a draft, change or delete a draft, issue it, cancel an issued invoice, mark it paid, and give you a link and a short message to send to your customer. The app shows you the draft first and issues it only after you say yes. QuickTax never sends an invoice to your customer; you send the link yourself.
- Customers and catalog items: add new ones and correct existing ones.
- Bank accounts on your invoices: add an account, confirm one QuickTax found in your statements, change its details, choose the default account. A change of where your customers pay waits for your confirmation by e-mail (see below).
What it cannot do
- Change or delete your bookkeeping, documents or statements. The only things it changes are uploads, your sales invoices, customers, catalog items and bank accounts.
- Delete anything except a draft invoice. An issued invoice is cancelled, and its number stays in the series.
- Issue a Tax Invoice while the company’s TRN or country is not confirmed in QuickTax.
- Work with companies in Saudi Arabia: they are not served yet. Your QuickTax manager handles them.
- Answer a request for an explanation from your accountant. Send explanations to your manager in the QuickTax chat.
Ask like this
- “What VAT deadlines do I have this quarter?”
- “What does QuickTax still need from me for October?”
- “Which September invoices are still being processed?”
- “Upload this receipt for September.”
- “How much did we pay this contractor in May?”
- “Show the profit and loss for the third quarter.”
- “Invoice Example Trading LLC AED 5,000 for October consulting.”
- “How much do I owe QuickTax?”
If you have several companies, name the company in your request.
Confirming a bank account change
Anything that changes where your customers pay waits for you: a new bank account, a new IBAN, account number, SWIFT or bank, confirming an account found in your statements, or a new default account.
- Ask the app for the change. It tells you to check your e-mail.
- We send an e-mail Confirm a bank account change from platform@quicktax.ac to the e-mail of your QuickTax account. The e-mail shows the company, the bank, the account and that your AI agent asked for it.
- Press Review the request. A QuickTax page shows the change. Nothing changes until you press Confirm on that page. If you did not ask for it, press This was not me, then turn off the app’s access.
- The link works for 15 minutes. If it expires, ask the app to start the change again.
- Go back to your AI app. It checks the result and carries on.
The app never asks you for the link or a code, so do not paste them into the chat. A new account name, beneficiary name or currency changes at once, without an e-mail.
Limits
Up to 60 requests a minute, 30 uploads an hour and 200 a day, and 60 invoice and other changes an hour and 300 a day. The limits are per QuickTax account.
Turn the AI app off
In the QuickTax app, open Home and find the block Connect your AI agent to QuickTax via MCP. It shows when your link was created and last used.
- Revoke turns the link off at once. Every AI app that uses it loses access to your QuickTax data.
- Replace link gives you a new link and turns the old one off at once. Paste the new link into the apps you still want to use.
Removing QuickTax from an AI app’s own settings stops that app from using it, but the link keeps working anywhere else it was pasted. If the link may have reached someone else, revoke or replace it in QuickTax.
Which companies the AI app sees
Your AI app sees every company linked to your QuickTax account, the account you sign in to app.quicktax.ac with. Your personal link belongs to that account. QuickTax checks the companies on every request, so a company linked to your account later appears in the app at once, with the same link, and a company taken off your account disappears from the app at once.
Companies in Saudi Arabia are not served yet; the AI app does not work with them.
You can check the list before you connect: on Home in the QuickTax app, the block Connect your AI agent to QuickTax via MCP shows the companies your link gives access to.
Your account has no company yet
The block says No company is linked to your account yet, and Get my link is not available.
- Your company is not with QuickTax yet: add it at app.quicktax.ac/add-a-company. When QuickTax has set it up, it appears in the block on Home, and you can get your link. If it does not appear, write to your manager in the QuickTax chat.
- Your company is on another QuickTax e-mail, for example it is on your work e-mail and you signed in with your personal one: see Your company is on another e-mail.
You have a second company
- The second company is new to QuickTax: add it at app.quicktax.ac/add-a-company while signed in with the same e-mail. When it is set up, check that it appears in the block on Home next to your first company. If it does not, write to your manager in the QuickTax chat.
- The second company is already with QuickTax under another e-mail: add your e-mail to that company with Users → Add user, as described in Your company is on another e-mail, or ask your manager to do it. Once it is linked, the AI app sees both companies with the same link.
If you have several companies, name the company in your request to the AI app.
Colleagues
Each person connects with their own QuickTax account and their own personal link. Do not share your link.
To give a colleague access to a company, open the company’s page, then Users → Add user, and enter their name and e-mail. If they already have a QuickTax account, the company is added to it. Otherwise they get access to the QuickTax app with that e-mail. They then get their own personal link on Home. If QuickTax refuses the e-mail, ask your manager to add them.
Your company is on another e-mail
The personal link shows the companies of the account that created it. To bring the company to the e-mail you use:
- Sign in to the QuickTax app with the e-mail that holds the company.
- Open the company’s page. In the block with Credentials and Users, open Users and press Add user.
- Enter your name and the e-mail you want to use, and save.
The company is added to your existing QuickTax account; no second account is created. Your personal link sees it on the next request, with nothing to change in the AI app.
If QuickTax answers “This email has more than one QuickTax login”, write to your manager in the QuickTax chat and ask to link the company to your e-mail. You can also simply get the personal link while signed in with the other e-mail.
Your data
The app reads your QuickTax data only when you ask it something, and only for your companies. Access is checked again on every request. What the app does with the answers is governed by the AI app’s own terms. How QuickTax handles the data is described in section 5 of our privacy policy. For a longer introduction, read our guide to QuickTax MCP.
